$24 Million Dollar Federal Grant will help Oregon Ethanol Startup

Hey I like my corn products so quit raising the prices!

With this new federal grant a pilot plant will be setup in Oregon. This new plant will try to turn wood waste, wheat straw and corn stalks into ethanol somewhat efficiently. But that is the real trick, they can make ethanol in many places but at what point are you spending too much energy to create another source of energy? Pacific Ethanol and BioGasol will team up in this effort.

I still believe we need a whole array of alternate fuel sources in this country to help cut back on oil demand. I do not see any one product solves all solution coming anytime soon and that includes ethanol.

A mix of ethanol, diesels, hybrids and electric cars will be a good start to reducing the current oil demand until we figure out what the one fix for all is going to be exactly.
