Vista almost got the best of me

So it was time for a new work PC as I some how have found ways to bog my system down. Off I go and get a q6600 quad core, a nice set of ram and all the goodies to go with it.

After the system is built I start to think, XP or Vista? Part of me really wanted to do XP since it was solid and no hassles. After talking to a few people I decided to go with Vista just because I wanted to learn something new and why waste all this hardware with an old OS.

All was well until 5pm last night when I decided to install my second video card and had problems. The people I talked to said Nvidia has a few issues but they never told me Vista killed support for multiple video cards. At this point I am starting to boil a bit.

An hour on Google later I see it can work if you have two of the same cards which by luck I do. After some trick of running them in SLI and disabling one card as you install the driver for the other I finally boot up and have all three screens working.

I guess if that is all the problems I had then maybe Vista is not so bad after all but it is too early in the game to quote that statement.
