The two teams did battle today by creating their own sandwiches at Quiznos and selling them without the help of their black-books. The two choices were the Champ Sandwich and the Cowboy Club (guess who’s team had which one).

The cowboy club sounded good but may not have been as marketable as the Champ since it was just straight up turkey and cheddar which represents a large majority of sandwiches in this country.

In the end Hydra wins again and although no one was really to blame for this one, Stephen was fired based on the fact that he has not raised any money in the last couple of competitions.

The next episode looks interesting as 2 people will be fired right at the beginning of the show and it looks like at some point the entire cast will be back.

On a Quiznos note, those little sandwiches for $2 are pretty small, I have known a few people to complain about the size\cost of them so I doubt they will last long. Quiznos tried something like this before and it failed. We will have an another post on Quiznos in the future as their business may be a bit shaky right now.

A 6 figure ass whippin, that is what happened on this episode of the Celebrity Apprentice.

Omarosa prefaced all of this by noting she lost in a similar task last time so we could already see where this was going. As a two time losing project manager we know she was kept around for entertainment factor. At the end of the day her and the team raised $7000 compared to Hydra’s $164,000.

In the boardroom we all knew it was time for her to go. With the biggest loss on the show ever, a now 3 time loser and probably the most hated, Trump finally gave her the boot.

I shouldn’t get such satisfaction from this but it reminds me working in a big corporate office and when that one idiot you wanted fired for so long gets the boot, you cannot do much but celebrate.

Well like a quote from rounders “I took a shot and missed”. Well I said Tito would win and I was busted out. The funny part is if you caught the show then you seen Omarosa say she wanted to be project manager then as soon as Trump said the PM has high chances of being fired she dumped it on Tito.

Baldwin and his conservative views ended up costing his team a loss. I think playboy here is a little too worried how his image will come across since he runs a ministry the last I heard. I wonder how he is when the camera is off? With his push to make sure the sexy ad did not run ultimately killed their chances of winning.

As far as the Dial brand it was cool to see them go after the more edgy marketing which I believe is a good thing. After the Janet Jackson mess everyone wanted to tone things down and I will be happen to see things loosen up a bit.

One other note on Tito, did he punk out or what on that presentation? I have seen him do post fight interviews and also star in a reality series and he seemed to mouth off just fine. Then you throw him in front of the exec’s to do a quick piece and he punks out? Even though I wanted him to win he should have loss just because he choked in the home stretch.

With the teams chopped up now the Don has the two crews sell a couple of items on QVC. The teams select Mary Lou and that sell out Stephen as project leaders.

Credit to Baldwin, he did step up and focus on the easy pay option QVC has which made their higher priced product a little easier to swallow. While Mary Lou’s team didn’t make mention of easy pay and they had Carol who had worked for QVC for 5 years the past!

In the end Stephan’s team won by a decent margin as they sold a more expensive product and certainly moved more product by pushing easy pay. The boardroom this time was once again rather boring and Mary Lou stuck with her bond to Carol and let her go. This alone should be the reason Mary Lou was fired since Carol missed the easy pay idea. In the end Donald notes Mary Lou was a bit spastic and talked to much so he fired her.

This was a long time coming. The shows talks about her in high regard but in every episode all you seen her doing was talking constantly and being a complete spaz so thankful the Don put his foot to ass on Mary Lou once and for all.

On a business note the multiple pay options are always a good way to move product. Over the years I know people that have used those payments options to buy TV’s and other goodies from places such as Crutchfield. The average American consumer over spends like crazy so if you can find a way to stretch them out and get your product sold then do so.

Yeah that was pretty much it, whomever had the biggest black book won. No strategy, no real marketing ploy and no creative thinking.

Most of the episode focused on the wanna be celebrity Omarosa insulting Piers and his family. It will be rather funny when she attempts to get any kind of real job once she leaves the show. Classless at best.

Even without any contribution from Omarosa Hydra still pulled off a win. And it was not because the other team didn’t try hard, Hydra simply had more contacts.

It was kind of a boring show unless you liked the feud. Hopefully next week we will see some better drama.

I argue with my wife all the time about the blindness women get when it comes to weddings. She agrees with me but also pushes the blame on the excuse that “this is how we are socialized”. Well maybe you are but it doesn’t mean it is right.

The second I found out it was Vera Wang I told her the women were going to lose. Why? Because I already knew they would put the blinders on and as soon as they heard Vera Wang all they could \ would think about it weddings. As the men noted from the meeting, Vera was trying to branch out beyond weddings.

Lennox’s management style is not exactly what you could call lead by example. But I would guess that is the first time he has managed something like that so what can you say. Trace once again came up with an outstanding idea. The quiet ones always seem to bring it the most.

The women’s display was laughable to me. If I was walking down the street and seen that all I could think of it a mock wedding and I would keep walking. What did they do exactly to make the mattress stick out?

The men’s was a bit plain but the theme and idea was enough to catch your attention and I did take notice to the mattress set that wasn’t covered \ clocked which gave it a nice clear view.

The women clearly took a beating at their own game today.

On other notes Stephen Baldwin is a real chump going out like he did. He is so worried that cheating episode may make him loom bad so he really started to sweat to the point of quiting. It is funny how fake people can be when the camera is on and on top of it he lost sight of why he was there, to bring money in for his charity but he could only think of himself.

At the end Nely gets the boot. Like Don noted I think she should have been booted earlier but booting her tonight was unwarranted. Omarosa should have been fired since she wanted \ ran with the wedding idea on top of being the project manager. But we all know Trump keeps her around for entertainment and I do like watching Piers giving her a verbal beating since she is clearly no match for him.

Next week we have more drama again so stay tuned for more updates.

I lost respect for Vinny after this Episode and that is coming from a die hard Sopranos fan.

If you are going to spy then spy but he became a turn coat which is the lowest of low to me. And everyone on their high morale ground of I don’t want to cheat. Did you notice how Trump wouldn’t answer the question about being a little shady?

The fact is Trump welcomes inside information and many other big business guru’s do as well or may even pay for it. It goes on everyday. Business is competitive and you do what you have to do even it it is on the line of ethical, just as long as it doesn’t cross it.

How many times a day does a company steal a lead sales rep from one of their competitors? Instant access to critical data and there is nothing you can do about it.

The women were rather stupid for falling for it and in the end we have seen what a great strategist and manipulator the brit is. Everyone doesn’t like him because they fear him, he as of right now has the greatest chance of winning if someone doesn’t find a way to out him.

On a closing note, Vinny has really let the whole mobster thing take over his head and we all seen this in the boardroom where he was trying to act as if he was king of the mob. And where the hell is Tito? Missing one show ups his chances of surviving that is a clear freebie but I guess he had a fight to prep for?

2 hours of drama and the girls won to sum it up in a sentence.

Vinny takes all the ziti on this one.

And lets discuss something right up front now. The firing was just to easy. Jennie should have not been on the show to begin with. At any given time for nearly any reason you could have fired her in any episode because trump said it best, this isn’t her world. Firing should be done because they helped the team lose not because they are weak in general.

Marilu should have been canned on this one. The thing is with her background they should have won but I believe it is her history that caused them to lose because she thought she knew it all.

What happens when you know it all? You don’t think with an open mind and your one kill shot of an idea isn’t always enough to defeat the other team. The flaw here in my mind was her falling back on her contacts to find out what sells the best. Maybe a certain show does sell more then others but are they the shows the team could have sold the most of by the method they were doing it?

This is where the men won the battle even while being a huge underdog against her history and contacts. All that history brought on closed mindedness and it cost them the competition. It would have been better if Marilu was canned though.

Could you look the Executives in the face at Kodak and tell them they are wrong? In this episode we watched Gene once again think he is smarter then the rest of the world. It also didn’t help that Nelly never shuts up and you would think you would spend more time listening to Kodak to understand what they are trying to push. Piers clearly understood they wanted to push the ink and this alone won it for the men.

You knew Gene was far off when he didn’t push the cost savings of the INK. For some reason he wanted to pitch a new slogan for Kodak and rewrite their entire branding efforts for them since he is smartest guy in the room (in his own mind). I was happy to see him tossed out on his head just as a wake-up call he cannot always be right.

On the Kodak note it is nice to see someone pushing the INK savings market. We all know companies don’t sell the printers, they sell INK. They would give the printers away if you could only buy their brand of INK but luckily that is not how it is.

How many times a day do you get calls from someone wanting to come in and bid on your printers\copiers? My phone never stops ringing. It is a very large market that many do not pay attention to and I don’t see it going away any time soon. We will see how affordable the INK is from Kodak since the home consumer market could use a little break on the refills.
